ESTERO'S OUTSTANDING FATHERS

How many children do you have? I have one daughter, Amelia May. She is six and a half months old.

Where do you work? I work for the Estero Fire Rescue as a Firefighter/Paramedic.

What are your favorite hobbies?
Listening to the Stan and Haney radio show on 96.1 K-Rock, backwater fishing, scouting ice hockey games, playing softball, kornhole and relaxing with family and friends.

What would the perfect day spent with your daughter include? Taking Amelia May and her mother to Disney World, watching the fireworks and then spending the night in a nice hotel.

What do you and your wife do on date night? My wife and I enjoy going to dinner at Ruth’s Chris several times a year followed by a movie at the theater.

How would you describe yourself in one word? Hardworking.

How do you stay involved in the community? I am active in many charity events such as American Lung Association Stair Climb, FF Calendar and raising funds for local Red Cross.

Where can you be found on your day/night off when you’re not with your children? Working for my dad’s lawn care and landscape business.

What’s the greatest thing about being a new father? Having a fresh, new perspective on life.

How many children do you have?
I have three children. Joshua is 18 years old and is an Estero Fire Explorer and Emergency Room Technician at Gulf Coast Hospital. Jacob is 15 years old and also an Estero Fire Explorer and high school student. He plays football and soccer and is a member of JROTC. My youngest is Dylan Lee and he is 14 years old. He is a high school student who plays soccer, is a member of JROC and an avid hunter.

Where do you work? I am a Lieutenant with Estero Fire and Rescue I began as a volunteer in 1978 and became a full time employee in 1982.

What are your favorite hobbies? Working on off road vehicles, trail riding ATV’s and my Jeeps.

What would the perfect day spent with your sons include? Hanging out either boating, in the woods or watching a hockey game.

What do you and your wife do on date night? My wife and I enjoy staying home.

How would you describe yourself in one word? Dedicated.

How do you stay involved in the community? By giving 34 years of my life to Estero Fire & Rescue and coaching recreational soccer within the community.

Where can you be found on your day/night off when you’re not with your children? In my garage working on something.

How many children do you have? I have six children. From the oldest to the youngest, Joshua (9 years old) is a great ATV and motorcycle rider, Gabrielle (7 years old) likes to draw, Brooklyn (6 years old) likes to sing, Madison (5 years old) is very lovable, Jacob (3 years old) is a great builder and Justin (1 year old) is an excellent climber.

Where do you work? I work for Estero Fire and Rescue as a Firefighter/EMT.

What are your favorite hobbies?
I enjoy riding ATVs and working on cars.

What would the perfect day spent with your children include? As a family, we enjoy the outdoors… fishing and four-wheeling.

What’s your favorite date night spot? My wife and I like to go to Miller’s Alehouse and a movie.

How would you describe yourself in one word? Easy going

How do you stay involved in the community? We are active members of Our Lady of Light Catholic Church.

Where can you be found on your day/night off when you’re not with your children? It’s very rare that I’m not with my children when I’m not working.

How do you juggle such a big family? By the grace of God.

How many children do you have? I have three children. Reese Lynn is 7, Josee Ireland is 5 and Jackson David is 7 months old.

Where do you work? I am the owner of four Batteries Plus locations, Daniels Driving Range and Sun Cup Golf Tournament.

What are your favorite hobbies? Golfing, hanging out with my kids and boating.

What would the perfect day spent with your children include? Taking them out on the boat to lunch or to the beach.

What is your favorite date night spot? Outback or Carrabas and the movies.

How would you describe yourself in one word? Overambitious.

How do you stay involved in the community? I stay involved by going above and beyond to provide as many jobs to our community as I can. I also give back to local charities and foundations such as Fraternal Order of Police, VA, and Pediatric Care of SWFL. I am also trying to bring the largest amateur golf tournament (The Sun Cup) to the area.

Where can you be found on your day/night off when you’re not with your children? Spending time with my fiancé at home. Otherwise the golf course but that is work for me.

Can you tell us about The Sun Cup? By bringing another event to Southwest Florida we will be able to create numerous jobs bringing additional money into our economy. We want to provide a great experience for golfers both local and from out of town. It is our goal, passion, desire, and what we dream of everyday to make this event so big that our legacy will be the Sun Cup and will continue for a very, very long time.

How do you juggle being a bachelor… and a father? My fiancé helps a lot and above all else my children come first. Sometimes it is hard but nothing comes before them!
